Hi, I'm Kate!

I am the founder and proud owner of Kate Meraki. My name is actually Katie, but those closest to me call me Kate. And no...Meraki is not my last name. It's actually a Greek word meaning- putting your love into you work. Which truly represents how Kate Meraki started and my love for what I do. I started making beaded bracelets in high school with my mom, and it was always something I would go back to as a hobby. After I had my first son (and realized I never wanted to leave him), I thought- why not make this hobby I love so much, into a business? And so...Kate Meraki was born. After having my second son, I realized that one can't work from home, while also caring for their children, so I am extremely lucky to have an amazing family and team around me that is able to help me manage these two tiny humans. I love designing and hand crafting beautiful pieces that I get to see other people love and wear, so thank you for being here and making that dream a reality!

 

All Kate Meraki jewelry is hand made in Sugar Land, Texas. Each piece is hand crafted with high quality beads or chain that will last you for years to come. (Check out out the 'Care Instructions' tab for more info on how to properly care for your Kate Meraki jewelry.) All of our gold filled beads and findings are from reputable wholesalers in the US, and our gemstone, glass, and other beads are from small US businesses who source their beads from artisans from India, Africa, and more. We love being able to support other small business that are supplying us with beads that are ethically and responsibly sourced from around the globe.
